Artwork Guidelines

We want your customised garments to be of the highest quality and to be completed in the quickest time possible. In order for us to achieve this we ask you to read through our artwork guidelines.

If your artwork is submitted and not to the format or standard set out below this may result in additional charges or an unnecessary delay in processing your order.

FILE TYPES

Although all standard image file types are accepted as long as the image resolution is of a high quality. We prefer the following high resolution files: JPG, BMP, TIF, EPS, AI.

EMBROIDERY

If you only have your company logo in a .jpeg format or pdf we can convert it for you to a .dst file which is required to create an embroidered logo. For all first time customers there is a fee for logos or graphics to be converted into an embroidery format, known as digitising. This converts the colours and shapes in your logo to a stitch pattern. This is a one off fee and your embroidered artwork will be held on file for future orders.

If digitising is not done correctly then letters in your logo can be illegible or even merged together. Our skilled digitisers ensure that nothing is embroidered until the digitisation is perfect.

PRINT

Vectored files

Preferred file types for us are Vector Illustrator and EPS files. Distinguishing vectors from other formats is straightforward. When you zoom into a vector, you'll notice no jagged edges or distortion. Conversely, if you zoom into a bitmap, the image and edges will appear blocky.

Adobe PDF files

PDFs should be generated exclusively from vector files to ensure optimal quality and precision. It is crucial that these PDFs retain edit capabilities, allowing for future modifications and adjustments as needed.

Embedding fonts

Converting fonts to paths (or curves) guarantees the preservation and consistency of your design during the printing process. If your logo incorporates any fonts or typefaces, it is imperative to convert them, which makes sure they cannot be altered. If we receive the file without the corresponding font, we may not be able to accurately match your artwork.

ARTWORK APPROVAL

Once you have submitted your artwork, we will provide a proof by email for you to check. We will not process your order until you have approved the artwork. Once approved any mistakes in the design will not be the responsibility of TrueFit workwear so it is imperative that you check the proof.

DESIGN

We provide a comprehensive in-house design service, supplementing our standard proofing process for all orders. Our skilled designers are capable of crafting a wide array of artwork tailored to your needs, be it a logo for your new business or an entirely new design as part of a rebranding project.

Feel free to reach out to us via phone or email at sales@truefit.co.uk if you have any inquiries about this service. We'll inquire about your requirements and provide you with a customised quote.

If you are unsure about the quality of your artwork files email with the size you'd like the logo to be and we can estimate which category your logo will fall into.
